Congratulations JV Baseball!

Coach Joe Zimmerman lead his JV baseball team to win it all Thursday at Spalding defeating Mt. St. Joe (9-3).

Spalding down 3-2 going into the 5th inning, came up big scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth making it hard for Mt. St. Joe to fight back. In the 6th inning they added insurance by scoring 4 more runs, to make the final 9-3, really putting pressure on the Gaels.  Freshman pitcher, Carter Sears, sealed the deal closing out the 7th.  Congrats, JV basball.

Emily Cooper – Sophomore – Lacrosse

Emily Cooper – Sophomore – Lacrosse

Emily is a sophomore standout in the IAAM, tied for the leading scorer on the team this season. Scoring over 50 goals on the season is an impressive feat; however, most impressive is Emily’s willingness to do anything she is asked of the team. Emily’s ability to get herself open against the toughest defenders in this country proves how talented she truly is.  Emily finished with 61 points total, scoring a game high of 9 points against Calverton.  Emily not only scores a lot of points on the field, but also in the classroom with a schedule full of honors and AP classes.
